AceShowbiz - Take That singer Gary Barlow has reassured fans he's OK after an earthquake hit Indonesia, where he's vacationing.

The 47-year-old pop star and his family were shaken up by Sunday's (August 05) 6.9 quake, which struck Lombok days after another big tremor last week, July 29.

Updating fans on Twitter, he wrote: "This morning I bumped into so many British families leaving Bali. How lucky we are to have that choice.

"I've had the misfortune of being in 7 earthquakes but none have felt more deep and raw... Praying for everyone affected."

He later added: "Thank you Bali for a peaceful and meaningful break. Such a shame it all came to an abrupt end. Praying for the beautiful people of this region who've been affected by the Earthquake."

John Legend and his wife, model and TV star Chrissy Teigen, were also on holiday in Indonesia when the latest tremor hit.

In one tweet posted early on Monday, Teigen wrote: "Another aftershock just now. probably the 8th one we have felt since the big one last night. we are safe, up high and nothing around us. thinking about everyone around us and in Lombok especially."

Actress Teresa Palmer was also caught up in the disaster, tweeting: "We felt it here in Ubud and it was VIOLENT. We are staying in a tree house and it was swaying like crazy. Very scary. Stay safe everyone... I can't imagine how it must've felt to those closer to Lombok. Thinking of everyone affected."

The latest reports suggest almost 100 people lost their lives in the weekend quake.
