AceShowbiz - French Montana's neighbours are helping police catch the alleged thieves who forced entry into his mansion by handing over footage from their surveillance cameras.

Armed robbers reportedly broke into the 33-year-old's property in a guarded, gated community in Calabasas, California, on Tuesday, July 31, while several people were at home.

According to The Blast, a message posted on a community neighbourhood asks residents to check if they have any video from around the time of the incident, and to hand over any pertinent footage to the L.A. County Sheriff.

A representative of the Calabasas Sheriff Department told People that at least two armed male suspects forced entry into the rapper's mansion. Deputies responded to a call at 8 am but the suspects had already fled by the time they arrived at the scene.

It's not known what, if anything, was taken during the alleged break-in. Montana is yet to comment on the alleged break-in and detectives have not named any suspects.

The "Unforgettable" hitmaker purchased the home in 2016 from Selena Gomez, who had to deal with a number of stalkers while living there.
