The judge overseeing the rapper's murder case orders one of the accused men to undergo a mental evaluation to determine if he can understand the charges he is facing.

AceShowbiz - The judge overseeing slain rapper XXXTentacion's murder case has ordered one of the four men accused of killing the 20 year old to undergo a mental exam.

Michael Boatwright was served with a warrant for first-degree murder last month, while in custody on an unrelated drug charge.

According to Broward County Sheriff's Office records, obtained by The Blast, he is one of two armed suspects who confronted XXXTentacion just before his death.

But Florida lawmakers fear he's not competent enough to proceed with the case, and they need a mental health expert to sign off before he can stand trial.

The judge reportedly wants to determine if Boatwright can understand the charges he is facing.

If a doctor rules the accused incompetent, he may be involuntarily hospitalised.

According to court documents, the judge has ordered the exam to be recorded on video before the end of the month.

A second man accused of firing shots that killed XXXTentacion in June is still at large.
