Gosford Castle, which is located on Mullaghbrack Road in the village of Marketyhill in Northern Ireland, was used to film the HBO popular show's infamous Red Wedding scenes.

AceShowbiz - Living in a real "Game of Thrones" castle is now not entirely impossible. A palatial castle of Northern Ireland's Gosford Castle, which was used as one of the sets for the popular HBO series, is now put on the market for £500,000 or nearly $656,000.

Build in the mid-18--s by the 2nd Earl of Gosford, Archibald Acheson, the property boasts 15 bedrooms and more than 10 bathrooms. It is surrounded by 590 acres of forest preserve that allows potential buyers to have outdoor activities. It was passed down to Earls of Gosford until 1921. Fans of the medieval series may be familiar with the property as it was used as Riverrun, the seat of House Tully and the childhood home of Catelyn Stark (Michelle Fairley).

Located on Mullaghbrack Road in the village of Marketyhill in Northern Ireland, the castle was the place where the infamous Red Wedding scenes in season 3 of "Game of Thrones" was filmed. It was also a backdrop for when Robb Stark (Richard Madden) executed Rickard Karstark (John Stahl).

"The portion of the castle being marketed for sale at this point has been partially developed in places with a view to convert the space into six luxury apartments with each boasting an average space of 3,500sq ft and with some offering rooftop gardens," the listing reads on Maison Real Estate.

The castle has also history of being used by the military during both WWII and The Troubles. The property has been run as a hotel since 1983. The space was later designated as Northern Ireland's first conservation forest in 1986.

In 2006, Gosford Castle was restored as it was purchased by Gosford Castle Development. Despite the restoration, it keeps several of its original features, such as staircases and vaulted ceilings.

Potential buyers, however, have to note that the castle has no central heating. They may have to put out some cash for some warm blankets and fluffy socks to fight the chilly Irish winters.
