After being cut from the art, the transgender model stays positive by saying that she's 'too distracting for the eyes' and 'upstaged everyone in the photograph!'

AceShowbiz - Transgender icon Amanda Lepore has come to the defence of rapper Travis Scott after she was cut from his new album cover.

The Goosebumps hitmaker has been hammered for removing Lepore from an image shot by famous photographer David LaChapelle for his forthcoming album, Astroworld, which is released on Friday, August 03, but she insists there are no hard feelings because she understands the edit was just a matter of attractiveness and artistic integrity.

Amanda Lepore was cut from Travis Scott's 'Astroworld' cover art.

"A girl can't help it! I'm too distracting for the eyes! I upstaged everyone in the photograph!" she tells TMZ, stating she is still fan of both LaChappelle and the rapper.

Lepore went on to insist her axed appearance on the Astroworld cover had "nothing to do with hating", as transgender activists line up to attack Scott.

Photographer LaChapelle, who has used Amanda as his muse since the 1990s, has confirmed her take on the album art edit, in comments beneath an Instagram post she shared on her account on Wednesday, August 01.

She initially seemed puzzled as to why her image wasn't on the cover, writing: "It was great being part of @david_lachapelle s incredible photograph of @travisscott s albulm (sic) cover but I'm curious why I'm not on the picture @travisscott posted".

That query stirred up a lot of transphobia chatter with one fan, @lachytg, writing: "The fact Lepore is edited out of Travis' final version goes to show he is not comfortable with the core ideas that the Lachapelle world celebrates and embodies."

LaChapelle was quick to respond to the fan, replying beneath the statement: "no Amanda was taken out because she just upstaged every one lol..."

He added: "eberybody (sic) wants to explain everything with some phobia or whatever this is just a case of something else she can't... seem to control lol ain't nothing to do with hating..."

Travis, the father of Kylie Jenner's baby daughter Stormi, and his representatives have yet to respond to the transphobia accusations.
