Details of the new album are still scarce, but she hints that it will be inspired by her life in Lisbon, Portugal.

AceShowbiz - Madonna fans, you can hold a celebration after reading the news. The pop superstar just confirmed in a new interview with Vogue Italia that her forthcoming album would make its way out by the end of the year. Details of the new album are still scarce, but she hinted that it would be inspired by her life in Lisbon, Portugal.

"I've just met lots of really amazing musicians, and I've ended up working with a lot of these musicians on my new record, so Lisbon has influenced my music and my work," the blonde beauty said to the magazine. "How could it not? I don't see how I could have gone through that year without being informed by all this input of culture."

While Madonna did not share any new insight into the forthcoming project, Vogue Italia's creative director Giovanni Bianco noted that Portuguese music would be a huge source of inspiration for the set. "She is an incredibly hard worker. I have learned so much from her intensity and dedication," he told Women's Wear Daily, adding that she often visited Tejo bar to "listen to Portuguese and African music."

"She knows the musicians there. It's like a laboratory, there's music from Cabo Verde and she loves fado [a Lisbon-based music genre]," he continued, adding that the genre "will infuse her work."

"Beautiful Game" is expected to serve as the lead single off the upcoming album, which still doesn't have a title. The song has yet to be released, but the "Like a Prayer" hitmaker debuted performance of the song at the 2018 Met Gala back in May.

The forthcoming effort will be a follow-up to her thirteenth studio album "Rebel Heart", which was released on March 6, 2015. The effort debuted at No. 2 on Billboard 200, marking her twenty first top ten album on the chart.
