The 'Drop It Like It's Hot' rapper has accused the unnamed firm of failing to carry out all work at his mansion as promised.

AceShowbiz - Snoop Dogg is suing a contractor for $500,000 (£381,500) in damages for allegedly ruining his house renovation.

The Drop It Like It's Hot rapper has accused the unnamed firm of failing to carry out all work at his mansion as promised, failing to pay subcontractors, and failing to satisfy regulatory requirements, according to legal documents obtained by The Blast.

He alleged in the lawsuit that all obligations were fulfilled on his end, and is demanding $500,000 (£381,500) in damages after the renovation at his mansion in Diamond Bar, Los Angeles, was allegedly ruined.

His legal action is a counterclaim to another lawsuit, in which he was sued by representatives of PDQ Enterprises, along with the firm he has now filed a lawsuit against.

The landscape construction business claimed the rapper – and the other contractors – entered into agreements for landscaping and architectural work on the luxury home.

PDQ bosses claimed the bill came to $12,385.90 (£9,452.44), but the defendants refused to pay. They demanded a lien be placed on Snoop’s home, and they wanted the property to be foreclosed on, with the proceeds being used to pay them off.

As part of Snoop's counterclaim, he wants the original lawsuit against him dismissed.
