A new report suggests that Ray West is currently receiving treatment in Los Angeles for his prostate.

AceShowbiz - Kanye West's father has been diagnosed with cancer, according to reports.

Sources tell TMZ.com Ray West is currently receiving treatment in Los Angeles for his prostate, after he was initially thought to be battling stomach cancer.

He is apparently responding well to treatment, and although the Stronger hitmaker has yet to comment on the claims, Kanye is said to have dropped everything to support his dad during his health crisis.

The news emerges almost 11 years after Kanye lost his mother Donda. She died in November, 2007, a day after undergoing a series of plastic surgery procedures.

The Los Angeles County coroner ruled her cause of death as "coronary artery disease and multiple post-operative factors due to or as a consequence of liposuction and mammoplasty".

Meanwhile, Kanye has also struggled with his own health issues, and on Friday, July 27, revealed he could relate to the depression tragic British fashion designer Alexander McQueen faced before taking his own life in 2010, aged 40, after watching the documentary McQueen.

"I saw the Alexander McQueen documentary and I connected with his journey. I know how it feels to want to take your life back into your own hands even if it means taking your own life," the 41-year-old wrote on Twitter.

Kanye, who infamously had a mental breakdown in late 2016, added, "To make this clear and not weird I've had these kinds of thoughts and I'm going to tell you things I've done to stay in a content place. How to NOT kill yourself pt (part) 1 Avoid being around people who make you want to kill yourself."

The hip-hop star, who shares three young children with wife Kim Kardashian, has yet to offer up any further pieces of advice.
