The YouTube star, whose real name is Felix Kjellberg, is under fire after posting an 'insensitive' meme which makes fun of the singer's hospitalization.

AceShowbiz - YouTube star PewDiePie has apologized for his "insensitive" tweet about Demi Lovato's hospitalization. The owner of YouTube's most popular channel with 64.5 million subscribers came under fire after posting a meme which made fun of the singer's alleged drug overdose.
In the meme, the "Sober" singer was shown asking her mother for money to buy a burger, but instead using it to buy drugs. Fans of Demi and PewDiePie were clearly unimpressed by his poor taste of humor.
"Come on Felix, we've stayed with you through a l o t, don't make a joke out of someone struggling with such a terrible addiction," one follower commented. Another wrote, "Leave our Demi alone!"
Fellow YouTubers also slammed the young influencer. Jimmy Wong, who hosts YouTube's "Feast of Fiction", responded to PewDiePie's post, "Come on bro, this is making light of something that a lot of humanity struggles with day in and day out, and countless families have been torn apart by it."
The 28-year-old later apologized and deleted the meme. "Deleted meme. I didn't mean anything with it," he tweeted, before adding, "I didn't fully know about the situation. I realize now it was insensitive, sorry!"

As reported before, Demi was found unconscious at a home in the Hollywood Hills on Tuesday afternoon, July 24. She was rushed to a hospital in Los Angeles. "Demi is awake and with her family who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers and support," her rep later said in a statement.
The cause of her overdose remains unknown, but a recent report suggested the singer used Meth before passing out. She was reportedly partying at the Saddle Ranch chophouse on Monday night, July 23 to celebrate the birthday of one of her backup dancers, before throwing another party at her house on the same day.
