AceShowbiz - Stormzy has taken flight with a plane full of fans en route to Barcelona where he will celebrate his 25th birthday.
The rapper gathered with fans at a British airport as they prepared to board his flight, dubbed Merky Airways, to attend his birthday party in Spain.
In several video clips posted to his Instagram Stories feed, the rapper is seen greeting fans and friends including rap duo Krept and Konan, AJ Tracey, Not3s, Lethal Bizzle, Mo the Comedian, Ramz and his TV presenter girlfriend Maya Jama.
Another clip saw him inspecting the contents of a goody bag which will be given to all partygoers. It includes a Merky Airways T-shirt, a visor cap, Spotify branded headphones, and a pair of white heart shaped sunglasses. He also showed off his Merky Airways branded ticket.
The rapper seemed overwhelmed as he boarded the plane, and was greeted by seats branded with Merky Airways and matching cups, plus goody bags.
"Welcome to hashtag Merky Airways. Wow this is phenomenal... amazing. This is incredible, " Stormzy gushed as girlfriend Maya agreed.
The Brit Award-winning rapper, real name Michael Omari Owuo Jr., teamed up with Spotify to organise the huge shindig abroad. And he promised fans in a post that the event will be his best yet. Last year he took fans to English theme park Thorpe Park for the day.
"THIS WILL BE A MOVIE. We've done the madting," he wrote on Instagram.
As well as excitedly greeting friends and fans, who sang Happy Birthday to the rapper, he posed for a selfie with the pilots and sat in the cockpit as one of them ran through the flight plan.
The chance to party with Stormzy was offered to competition winners over the age of 21. They needed to have a valid passport eligible for EU travel, and had to be available to travel from London to Spain (and back) on July 26, the date of Stormzy's birthday.
