Cardi B Cancels North American Tour Dates With Bruno Mars Due to Newborn Baby

The female emcee announces the news on Twitter, writing, 'I'm not ready to leave my baby behind since doctor explained it's not healthy for her to be on the road.'

AceShowbiz - Fans of Cardi B who are looking forward to see their idol at Bruno Mars' final leg of his "24K Magic Tour" must be upset after hearing this news. The female emcee just announced that she would not be joining Bruno on the road as her newborn baby, Kulture, is her number one priority right now.

"I thought that after giving birth to my daughter that 6 weeks would be enough time for me to recover mentally and physically. I also thought that I'd be able to bring her with me on tour, but I think I underestimate this whole mommy thing," Cardi wrote on Twitter on Thursday, July 26. "Not only am I just not ready physically, I'm not ready to leave my baby behind since doctor explained it's not healthy for her to be on the road."

She continued, "I hope you guys understand that this decision has been the hardest to make but I have to work what's best for myself and my baby! Thank you Bruno for being so supportive and understanding."

Bruno also addressed the cancellation to his Twitter account, telling Cardi, "Most important thing is you and your family's health. I know the fans will understand. You are absolutely doing the right thing. I also know we'll share the stage when the time is right. We love you Cardi and we will play 'Bodak Yellow' every night in you honor. Please give your baby girl a hug from me and a hug on behalf of everyone on 'The 24K Magic Tour'."

Cardi was scheduled to join the final leg of his tour starting from September 7 in Denver until November 11 in Honolulu. A new opening act has not been announced.

The "Bartier Cardi" rapper gave birth to Kulture, her first child with husband Offset, on Wednesday, July 11. She announced the birth by sharing on Instagram a nude maternity photo of herself.
