AceShowbiz - Paul McCartney is planning to follow up his intimate Abbey Road gig in London with another secret show in his native Liverpool later this week.

Fans had to prove their worth as devotees as part of an online write-in contest to win tickets to the former Beatles star's Abbey Road studio performance on Monday, July 23, and it appears Macca has caught small-gig fever.

In a question and answer session with former Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, the university McCartney founded in 1996, on Wednesday, he revealed he would be playing another secret set in the city on Thursday.

The venue and other details have not been released, but Paul performed a pub gig at Liverpool's Philharmonic Dining Rooms during his appearance on James Corden's The Late Late Show last month. The pub show came at the end of a day-long tour around the city as part of a Carpool Karaoke skit.
