The 'Wolves' singer wears a 'Keep the Faith' graphic T-shirt while stepping out for breakfast, during which she gets a big hug from a friend.

AceShowbiz - Selena Gomez is seemingly deeply affected by her pal Demi Lovato's alleged drug overdose. The "Same Old Love" singer looked somber when stepping out for a breakfast with friends on Wednesday, July 25 in Studio City, California.

Wearing an oversized "Keep the Faith" graphic T-shirt, a brown knitted cardigan, black and brown sandals, round sunglasses and a cross necklace, she went barefoot at one point and took off her cardigan to reveal the positive message written on the backside of her white T-shirt. She was seen sharing a big hug with a female friend in the parking lot.

A day before, just hours after news of Demi's hospitalization broke, Selena looked emotional when she was spotted in Los Angeles. Wearing a green sweater with patchwork denim jeans, the singer/actor looked distraught as she talked to someone on the phone.

The star, who recently turned 26 years old, was "very upset and emotional" when she found out the news about Demi, according to E! News' source. While the "Monte Carlo" star has not taken to social media to show her support for Demi, Selena reportedly "has reached out to Demi's family members to share her love and prayers, and she is really distraught about her health. She hates that Demi has been suffering."

Meanwhile, Selena's mom Mandy Teefey has taken to Instagram to send her love to Demi. "The world is a better place because of these infectious smiles. My heart hurts," she wrote on Tuesday, July 24.

Selena's ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber, who used to be close with Demi, is also "very sad" about what happened to her pal. The Canadian pop star thought Demi was sober, and said the news of her relapse was "terrible."

Demi is currently recovering at the hospital after found unconscious at a home in the Hollywood Hills on Tuesday afternoon. "Demi is awake and with her family who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers and support," her rep said in a statement later on Tuesday. It remains unknown what caused her overdose.
