It will be the actress' first TV interview since her firing over offensive message on Twitter.

AceShowbiz - Roseanne Barr has set her first TV interview following her racist tweet controversy.

The actress' revived TV series "Roseanne" was canned by ABC network executives in late May after she posted an offensive message on Twitter about Valerie Jarrett, an adviser to former U.S. President Barack Obama.

Barr has since deleted and apologised for her remarks, and on Tuesday night (July 24), conservative political commentator Sean Hannity announced at the close of his programme "Hannity", that he would be interviewing the 65-year-old on Thursday's edition, with portions of the chat to be broadcast on Friday's instalment as well.

Barr is expected to talk about the backlash to her tweet as well as her opinions on U.S. President Donald Trump, who like Hannity, she is a vocal supporter of.

Previously, Barr has spoken to Rabbi Shmuley Boteach on his podcast. In July, she told her fans she would be sitting down for a tell-all televised interview about the controversy, but then changed her mind, claiming that she would record her own and post it to her YouTube channel.

However, she appeared erratic in the short clip uploaded last Thursday night, smoking and sighing before digging herself deeper into the controversy by stating: "I thought the b**ch was white! Goddammit! I thought the b**ch was white! F**k!".
