The pop princess admits fans will have to wait a little longer for the premiere of the docu-series, as their work is far from finished.

AceShowbiz - Pop star Ariana Grande is turning film footage from her Dangerous Woman Tour into a new docu-series.

The Side to Side hitmaker initially teased the project last year (17), when she shared short clips from the 2017 trek on social media, but now she has confirmed an official release is on the way.

The singer was asked for an update on what her Twitter followers thought would be a concert movie on Monday, July 23, when she revealed it would actually drop in the format of a series instead.

"i want this movie SO BAD any predictions as to when it'll be done (sic)?" one fan tweeted.

"Let me surprise u w (you with) it but it ain't a movie issa docuseries (sic)!" she shared in response. "there are episodes. now pls (please) drop it before i slice off my arms (sic)".

Ariana, who is also gearing up for the launch of her fourth studio album, Sweetener, next month, admits fans will have to wait a little longer for the premiere of the docu-series, as their work is far from finished.

After another devotee wondered if the film was "already done" and edited, she replied, "no sis we are still adding to it since u love leaving me with no surprises now will u let us finish in peace pls (sic)".

"the reason why it's takin so long is bc (because) we are adding stuff (sic)," Ariana continued. "dat is were we are leaving it. no more questions ab (about) da series (sic)!".

Further details about the show have yet to be released, but the Dangerous Woman Tour docu-series is sure to address the heartache she suffered on 22 May, 2017, when a suicide bomber detonated an explosive outside her concert at the U.K.'s Manchester Arena, killing 22 people and leaving hundreds of others injured.

Ariana has since opened up about the post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) she has suffered from in the aftermath of the terror attack, and recently admitted to Elle magazine that her anxiety was so bad, she "cried endlessly and barely spoke for two days" immediately following the tragedy.

The star cancelled a string of concerts on the trek to recover from the horror, but returned to the city nearly two weeks later to stage the One Love Manchester tribute gig, which raised funds for those affected by the incident.

She resumed her Dangerous Woman Tour shortly afterwards, and wrapped up the gigs in Hong Kong on 21 September (17).
