The race car driver proposes to the 'Total Frat Movie' actress during their boat ride after a romantic dinner.

AceShowbiz - "Dancing with the Stars" season 23 runner-up James Hinchcliffe is engaged to Becky Dalton. The IndyCar driver announced the news via his Instagram account where he posted a picture of himself and his now-fiancee.
Becky was seen flaunting her engagement ring on the photo while James pointed at the ring. "Wait, what?! I thought they said 'til DEBT do us part'! #BeckyGetsHinched," he captioned it.
The 31-year-old driver proposed to the "Total Frat Movie" star on Monday, July 16 at Six Mile Lake in Muskoka, Ontario during a boat trip. No one knew he was going to propose to Becky except for his parents and the jewelers. "Literally only four people in the world knew this was happening, my parents and the jewelers," James told Entertaiment Tonight. "After the Honda Indy Toronto, we headed to our cottage in Muskoka and I had it all planned out to ask her to go on a booze cruise after dinner."
The Canadian race car driver continued his proposal story. "While we were driving up to the cottage, it was cloudy and not looking great out, but as we got closer the weather broke. After we made dinner, I ran over to my parents' cottage telling Becky I was grabbing the boat keys, but really the ring was there, along with some champagne," he revealed. "I stashed them on the boat, and when we got to a place where we were just enjoying the moment, I got up and grabbed the ring from the glovebox. I got on one knee and asked Becky to marry me."
Becky said yes after James popped the question and then the driver's parents played Michael Bolton's song "When a Man Loves a Woman" when they got back from the boat ride. "Somewhere amongst the ugly cries there was a yes and there you have it!" he told the site. "When we made our way back to the cottage, my parents had 'When a Man Loves a Woman' blasting with candles lit around our cottage."
Meanwhile, the 29-year-old actress admitted that she was surprised by the proposal. "I was completely surprised! Honestly, I thought he was ruining our moment because he got up and I thought he was going to start the boat back up," she said. "He got on one knee and then I started ugly crying! He even hid a bottle of champagne on the boat along with the ring. I really had no idea."
James and Becky met in an acting class in high school. The two went to a prom together in 2004 before they separated for 12 years. "We went 12 years without seeing each other," the actress told New York Post. They only communicated through Facebook during that time. They reunited after Becky asked James out for a dinner date in 2016. "This chick I haven't talked to in 12 years just DMed me on Facebook and then like asked me out on a date, it was super weird," the race car driver said and laughed.
