AceShowbiz - Bruce Springsteen's Broadway show is heading to Netflix.

Springsteen on Broadway will be available to stream online after the rocker's final show at the Walter Kerr Theatre on 15 December.

Based on Springsteen's best-selling autobiography Born to Run, the show will feature stripped down songs, personal stories and a special appearance by The Boss' wife and bandmate Patti Scialfa.

"The purpose of the film is to bring this incredibly intimate show to Bruce's entire audience intact and complete," Springsteen's manager Jon Landau says. "In addition to its many other virtues, Netflix has provided for a simultaneous worldwide release, which is particularly important for our massive international audience."

Springsteen on Broadway has been a runaway success ever since it launched in October (17). The run has been extended three times.

When it closes in December, the show will have hit the stage 236 times, according to Deadline.
