The former Take That singer and the One Direction member will join Simon Cowell on the judging panel of the talent show.

AceShowbiz - Pop stars Robbie Williams and Louis Tomlinson have officially joined the judges on The X Factor for the next season of the British talent show.

The former Take That singer will replace long-standing judge Louis Walsh, who quit the show last month after 13 years, and Tomlinson, who found fame on the show in 2010, when One Direction was formed, will also join the panel alongside Robbie's TV presenter wife Ayda Field and Simon Cowell.

Sharon Osbourne will also be a judge, but only for the live shows.

The new judging panel was unveiled in London on Tuesday, July 17, days before the taped audition rounds are set to begin.
