Artist of the Week: Halsey
Music

The songstress recently topped Billboard's Dance Club Songs chart for the second time with her single 'Alone'.

AceShowbiz - Starting her music career at the age of fourteen, Halsey quickly made her way into the music industry and already has a big and loyal fan base. The songstress recently topped Billboard's Dance Club Songs chart for the second time with her single "Alone" featuring Big Sean and Stefflon Don.

Serving as the third single off "Hopeless Fountain Kingdom", the song was also her third top 10 on the chart, following "Bad at Love" and her collaboration with The Chainsmokers on "Closer". In addition, it peaked at No. 16 on Adult Top 40 chart and at No. 17 on Mainstream Top 40 chart.

The song's success doesn't make Halsey plan to take it easy anytime soon as she released a new track entitled "Eastside" along with Benny Blanco and Khalid on July 12. It features her and Khalid singing about transitioning into adulthood against a dance-y, pop beat. A music video for the track was premiered on the same day as the song's release.

Besides releasing new music, Halsey has been busy hitting the stage. She is set to headline the 2018 Billboard Hot 100 Music Festival alongside the likes of DJ Snake, Future and Kehlani at Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater in Long Island, New York on August 18 and 19. This will mark her second time performing at the music festival.

"It's an incredible honor to headline the Hot 100 Music Festival and join such a talented group of artists on the line-up," Halsey said in a statement. "I'm ready to bring the heat to Jones Beach for a second time. You can't beat performing for fans in New York. They're the best in the world."

Halsey is also currently on the road for "Hopeless Fountain Kingdom Tour" in support of her sophomore album. She is scheduled to conclude the tour on September 22 in London, England.
