AceShowbiz - "Spider-Man: Homecoming" original cast members Zendaya Coleman, who plays Michelle "MJ" Jones, and Jacob Batalon, who takes the role as Ned Leeds, will reunite with Peter Parker depicter Tom Holland in the film's sequel "Spider-Man: Far From Home". Coleman confirmed the news by posting on Instagram Stories a picture of Batalon during the filming.
The photo saw the actor playing a guitar while donning a "Deadpool" T-shirt. It appeared that the photo was taken when they were hanging out between takes.
Ned was last seen in the beginning of "Avengers: Infinity War", riding a school bus with Peter before Cull Obsidian and Ebony Maw attacked New York. It is unknown if he survived Thanos' galactic purge, as the Russo brothers didn't give information about his fate. As for Michelle, her fate is even harder to predict, given the fact that she was absent in the final moments of "Homecoming", which was set shortly after "Captain America: Civil War".
Previously, Holland was photographed on the set of the sequel wearing a gray T-shirt, jeans and gray sneakers. He was seen waving to the crowd as he walked around the set.
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige gave information detail about Peter traveling abroad during summer vacation in an interview. "Well, when does that movie take place? We know it's the summer. I think it's summer vacation," Feige said. "I think he's going to Europe with his friends. I don't know what summer... I mean, I do know [but you don't]."
"Spider-Man: Far From Home" also brings back Marisa Tomei to play Peter's aunt May Parker, and Michael Keaton to reprise his role as Vulture. It was also confirmed that Jake Gyllenhaal would join them in the project to play villainous Mysterio, a master of illusion.
Directed by Jon Watts, the sequel is set to be released on July 5, 2019 in the United States.
