AceShowbiz - Among the songs that are going to be included on Ariana Grande's highly-anticipated album "Sweetener", fans are looking forward to "God Is a Woman" the most. The songstress finally released the song on Thursday, July 12.
Described as an "anthemic, sultry banger," the song features Ariana delivering her soaring vocal chops over deep sensual bass beat. "You, you love it how I move you/ You love it how I touch you/ My one, when all is said and done/ You'll believe God is a woman," she sings. "And I, I feel it after midnight/ A feelin' that you can't fight/ My one, it lingers when we're done/ You'll believe God is a woman."
After listening to the song, many fans took to their social media accounts to gush over it, with one confident fan writing that "God Is a Woman" would beat Drake's songs on various charts. "You never disappoint Ariana Grande. Thank you for this masterpiece," one fan said, while another added, "I love this song it's stuck in my head and in my heart amazing and absolutely stunning."
Ariana previously explained the meaning behind the song, saying that it is about "sexual female empowerment and how women are literally everything and the universe is inside of us." She also said that the song is her and her grandmother's favorite song off the forthcoming effort.
The music video for "God Is a Woman" will be premiered on Friday, July 13 at noon. Dave East is rumored to be directing the visuals.
"Sweetener" is expected to be released on August 17 via Republic Records. The effort is the follow-up to her third studio album "Dangerous Woman" and features guest appearances from Missy Elliott, Nicki Minaj and Pharrell Williams. Ariana recently teased that Madonna and Imogen Heap might be featured on the project too.
