AceShowbiz - A new museum dedicated to the life and works of Bob Dylan is set to be built next to an Oklahoma facility honouring one of his idols, Woody Guthrie.
Officials at the George Kaiser Family Foundation have been working on plans for the Bob Dylan Center in Tulsa for some time, and now they have chosen to locate it right next door to the Woody Guthrie Center.
Top architects at Olson Kundig have been tasked with designing the building, which will house the folk rocker's extensive archives, and is aimed at allowing fans to study and appreciate the huge cultural significance of his work.
Dylan previously revealed he chose Tulsa as the city to host exhibits of his archives partly because it was the home of the Woody Guthrie Center, which celebrated the influence the late This Land Is Your Land singer/songwriter had on the music industry.
The Bob Dylan Center is projected to open in 2021.
