Even though the reports have yet to be confirmed, a rep for Def Jam Recordings hints that the rapper has more material in the works.

AceShowbiz - Hip-hop star Kanye West reportedly wants to set himself the ultimate challenge and create an album a week for a full year.

The Stronger hitmaker has been hard at work in the studio in recent months as both rapper and producer, resulting in the back-to-back launches of seven-song projects by Pusha T, Nas, and Teyana Taylor from late May, as well as his own new material on Ye and joint album with Kid Cudi, titled Kids See Ghosts.

Ye and Kids See Ghosts marked his first full-length releases since he was hospitalised following a mental breakdown while on tour promoting his last album, 2016's The Life of Pablo.

And it appears Kanye has no plans to slow down anytime soon.

He recently sat down for a wide-ranging interview with The New York Times' music journalist Jon Caramanica, and touched on everything from his recent controversial comments about slavery to his mental health struggles and his experiments with scream therapy in a bid to help boost his self-confidence.

The article was published on Monday, June 25, but now Caramanica has shared some outtakes from the lengthy chat on his podcast, revealing Kanye briefly commented on what he would tackle next.

"He told me at one point he wants to make 52 records in 52 weeks," Caramanica recalled on the latest episode of Popcast. "Take that for what you will."

Kanye has yet to further comment on the remark, but a representative for Def Jam Recordings, the distributor for his G.O.O.D. Music label, appeared to hint that more material was in the works in a Twitter post on Wednesday night, June 27.

"Which artist would you like Kanye to produce a 7-track album for next?," read the post.
