While visiting an archeological site in Jerash, the Duke of Cambridge takes a picture in the same spot where his wife posed when she was only four years old.

AceShowbiz - Kate Middleton might not be able to join Prince William for his visit to middle east, but he makes sure that she was there in spirit. When he stopped by an archeological sire in Jerash, the Duke of Cambridge took a moment to pay a sweet tribute to his wife by recreating one of her childhood pictures.

The photo shows William standing in the same spot Kate and her family did as they posed for a photo when she was only four years old. Meanwhile, the original photo was released ahead of the royal couple's wedding in 2011. Besides Kate, her father Michael and sister Pippa were in the shot.

Kate couldn't join her husband because she's still on maternity leave after giving birth to their third child, Prince Louis, back in April. During a party shortly after his arrival in Jordan, William noted how much the Duchess of Cambridge was missing the trip.

"She is very sorry she cannot be here with me so soon after the birth of our son Louis, but her family remembers very fondly the almost three years she spent here as a child when her father worked for British Airways in Amman," he said, adding, "Catherine's experience is not unique -- the interchange between our two countries is real and deep: work, study, tourism and family links."

William's tour started on June 24 and will end on June 28. He will visit Jordan, Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories over the course. Acting as the tour guide for his trip is Crown prince Hussein, the son of Queen Rania and King Abdullah II.
