AceShowbiz - Now that the cat is out of the bag, "Wonder Woman 1984" crew is apparently no longer trying hard to hide the fact that Chris Pine is returning for the sequel. Following the first official photo shared by director Patty Jenkins, new photo and video of Pine on the set of "Wonder Woman 2" have surfaced online.
The actor was joined by lead actress Gal Gadot for the filming in Washington D.C. Rocking 1980s-inspired attire, Pine donned a black shirt and pants while carrying a gray fanny pack. Gadot's outfit, meanwhile, was a nod to Lynda Carter's on the original "Wonder Woman" TV show. The Israeli beauty sported a wide-collared white shirt, a blue vest, a pinstripe vest and a beige/gray jacket.
I KNEW Diana’s outfit reminded me of something! - she had a similar one in the TV show. #WW84pic.twitter.com/Xqru5Io67s

The two stars wore the same outfits in the set video shared taken by a fan. They got some directions from Jenkins. Pine spotted the person capturing the video and he reacted hilariously by mimicking operating a camera. The fan was heard freaking out.

While it's now confirmed that Pine will return in "Wonder Woman 1984", many still wonder how it's possible after Steve Trevor's apparent death in the first movie. One theory suggests that he may not be the original Steve, but a disguise for a darker presence. In "Wonder Woman" comic book No. 289 (1982), Wonder Woman's frequent nemesis Doctor Psycho creates a powerful body out of ectoplasm that looked like Steve and fought Diana as Captain Wonder.
Should this be true, Pedro Pascal, whose role is still kept under wraps, may play Doctor Psycho who torments Diana along with Kristen Wiig's villainous character Cheetah.
Dave Callaham and Geoff Johns write the script for the sequel, while Deborah and Zack Snyder are producing. The movie is slated for a November 1, 2019 release in the United States.
