The actor will reprise his role as Adonis Creed in the upcoming sequel of American sports drama 'Creed'.

AceShowbiz - Michael B. Jordan is ready to fight in the first poster for "Creed II", which was posted on "Creed" movie's official Twitter account, on June 19. The black-and-white teaser poster features Jordan standing tall in the center while donning black gloves and stripped trunks labeled with "Creed". Creed refers to his character's name, Adonis Creed, in the movie. "Know his name," the caption read.

The "Black Panther" actor will reprise his role as titular boxer Adonis Creed in "Creed II". Jordan is not the only one who comes back though. Sylvester Stallone will also come back as Adonis' trainer and mentor Rocky Balboa, while Tessa Thompson returns as Adonis' love interest Bianca. Other cast in the sequel includes Wood Harris, Russell Hornsby, Andre Ward and Phylicia Rashad.

"Creed II" will not only bring back the actors from the first installment, but it also will bring back actor Dolph Lundgren from "Rocky IV" to play Ivan Drago, given the fact that "Creed" and "Creed II" are the spin-off to "Rocky" movies. Ivan Drago is a character from "Rocky IV" who killed Adonis' father, Apollo Creed. Real-life Romanian boxer Florian Munteanu will join Lundgren to take the role of Viktor Drago in the sequel.

"Creed II" follows Adonis Creed, who is facing Viktor Drago, an opponent with ties to Adonis' family's past. Viktor Drago is the son of Ivan Drago, a powerful boxer who killed Adonis' father in the ring 30 years prior in "Rocky IV". Rocky Balboa is there mentoring and training Adonis through it all. Together, Rocky and Adonis will confront their shared legacy, question what's worth fighting for, and discover that nothing's more important than family.

"The Land" director Steven Caple Jr. is set to direct "Creed II" to replace Ryan Coogler, who is now serving as an executive producer for this project. The sequel is set to be released in U.S. theaters on November 21.
