AceShowbiz - John Krasinski embarks on a dangerous mission in first full-length trailer for his upcoming Amazon series "Jack Ryan". The "A Quiet Place" star and director plays CIA analyst Jack Ryan who later for the first time is sent for a high-risk field assignment in Syria that involves a dangerous terrorist group.

The trailer opens with John, a State Department’s supply chain guy, flirting with a lady at a wedding party before it is interrupted by a helicopter. "Dr. Ryan, you need to go with me," someone from the helicopter says to him. Before he can process the whole thing, he is dragged to get into the helicopter in bewilderment.

It appears that he's much needed in his new assignment, which forces him to leave his comfortable life, after he discovers a series of suspicious, interconnected bank transactions.

"I can't go to Yemen," Jack tells a colleague before being forced onto a plane. "I'm an analyst. I don't interrogate people -- I write reports!" His collegue, however, is having none of his complaint as he says, "Get on the plane."

The trailer later glimpses a series of action-packed scenes that include countless explosions and gunshots. Before the trailer comes to an end, Jack can be seen promising a woman to get her son back. "I promise you. I'm the best chance you have," he tells her.

Based on Tom Clancy's novels, the 10-episode series is co-produced by Paramount Television and Skydance Television. It centers on Jack Ryan, an up-and-coming CIA analyst thrust into a dangerous field assignment for the first time. The series follows the titular character as he uncovers a pattern in terrorist communication that launches him into the center of a dangerous gambit with a new breed of terrorism that threatens destruction on a global scale.

Season 1 of "Jack Ryan" is set to debut on August 31 on Amazon Prime Video.
