Dylan feels Woody's latest comments are a 'desperate' attempt to put himself in a more positive light.

AceShowbiz - Woody Allen's adopted daughter Dylan Farrow has lashed out at the filmmaker again, after he insisted he should be the "poster boy" for the #MeToo movement against sexual misconduct.

Farrow has long maintained the Blue Jasmine director sexually assaulted her in 1992, when she was just a child - allegations he has always denied.

Despite his complicated family history, Allen recently claimed he was fully supportive of the ongoing anti-sexual harassment campaign sweeping Hollywood, and declared he would be a model example of a man in power who hasn't behaved badly towards anyone in the industry.

"I'm a big advocate of the #MeToo movement," he told Argentinian news programme Periodismo Para Todos. "I feel when they find people who harass innocent women and men, it's a good thing that they're exposing them. But you know, I should be the poster boy for the #MeToo movement.

"I have worked in movies for 50 years. I've worked with hundreds of actresses and not a single one - big ones, famous ones, ones starting out - have ever ever suggested any kind of impropriety at all. I've always had a wonderful record with them".

However, Dylan feels Woody's latest comments are a "desperate" attempt to put himself in a more positive light.

"All Woody Allen's recent antics demonstrate his desperation to salvage a now faltering career...," she wrote on Twitter. "Everything he says now is nothing more than calculated PR strategy in an attempt to undermine the credible allegations against him. We're all wiser to that now and know the lengths powerful men will go to in order to demean and silence their victims".

Allen has never been charged with any crime relating to his estranged daughter's claims.
