Rodney Cannon claims the Canadian singer made 'threatening communications' in front of a group of other people and spewed insults, 'including racial epithets', during the brawl.

AceShowbiz - Justin Bieber has been accused of hurling a racial slur at a man he allegedly assaulted during a street fight in Cleveland, Ohio two years ago.

The Sorry hitmaker hit headlines in June, 2016, when he was involved in a fracas with another man outside his hotel following a National Basketball Association (NBA) Finals game between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the visiting Golden State Warriors.

Video footage of the clash, obtained by TMZ.com, showed the singer appearing to exchange blows with the other guy as Bieber was thrown to the ground, before a woman stepped in to break up the fight.

According to TheBlast.com, Rodney Cannon, the man who faced off with Bieber, has now filed suit over the brawl, with the alleged victim claiming the pop superstar "suddenly became irate" after objecting to having his photo taken, and demanded the snap be deleted.

In his legal papers, Cannon claims the musician made "threatening communications" in front of a group of other people, and spewed insults, "including racial epithets", during his outburst.

He is suing for compensation for mental and emotional injuries allegedly caused by the verbal and physical attack.

At the time, Cannon told police he had to seek hospital treatment for injuries including a concussion.

Bieber has yet to respond to the accusations.
