AceShowbiz - Singer Sara Bareilles and filmmaker J.J. Abrams have teamed up to executive produce a TV series for Apple's streaming service.
Little Voice is named after Bareilles' second album and will explore the experience of finding true voice. The 38-year-old will provide the music for the series, but it is unclear if the singer will appear in the show.
Jessie Nelson, who worked with Bareilles on her Tony Award-nominated musical Waitress, will write and direct the first episode and also serve as showrunner and executive producer alongside Abrams and Bareilles.
