AceShowbiz - Comedian Jimmy Fallon stunned students graduating from the Florida high school at the centre of February's Parkland massacre by delivering their commencement address.
The Tonight Show host was an unannounced guest speaker as he took the podium at the BB&T Center and urged graduates of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Class of 2018 to "keep changing the world, keep making us proud".
Four families received diplomas on behalf of loved ones who were killed when former student Nikolas Cruz went on a rampage on 14 February, claiming the lives of 17.
In video footage of his commencement address, posted online, Fallon told the students, "First thing is this: When something feels hard, remember that it gets better. Choose to move forward. Don't let anything stop you."
He also thanked them for their bravery and activism.
Congratulations Marjory Stoneman Douglas Class of 2018! You are not just the future - you are the present. Keep changing the world. Keep making us proud. #MSDStrong#YouAreThePresentpic.twitter.com/czvZwezKSt
