Meanwhile, her 'Roseanne' co-star John Goodman looked pissed while walking his dog shortly after the news of ABC pulling the plug on the show broke.

AceShowbiz - Roseanne Barr has broken her silence after her show "Roseanne" is axed by ABC. The actress, who sparked controversy over her now-deleted racist Twitter rant, returns to the micro-blogging site to react to the network canceling the reboot.

"Don't feel sorry for me, guys!!-I just want to apologize to the hundreds of people, and wonderful writers (all liberal) and talented actors who lost their jobs on my show due to my stupid tweet. I will be on Joe Rogan's podcast friday," the Roseanne Conner depicter tweeted.

She continued asking her supporters to stop defending her. "It's sweet of you 2 try, but...losing my show is 0 compared 2 being labelled a racist over one tweet-that I regret even more," she said. "guys I did something unforgiveable so do not defend me. It was 2 in the morning and I was ambien tweeting-it was memorial day too-i went 2 far & do not want it defended-it was egregious Indefensible. I made a mistake I wish I hadn't but...don't defend it please. ty."

Through Buzzfeed correspondent Kate Aurthur's account, Barr issued an apology that read, "I deeply regret my comments from late last night on Twitter. Above all, I want to apologize to Valerie Jarrett, as well as to ABC and the cast and crew of the 'Roseanne' show. I am sorry for making a thoughtless joke that does not reflect my values-I love all people and am very sorry."

The statement continued, "Today my words caused hundreds of hardworking people to lose their jobs. I also sincerely apologized to the audience that has embraced my work for decades. I apologize from the bottom of my heart and hope you can find it in your hearts to forgive me."

Meanwhile, co-star John Goodman looked miserable following the cancellation news. Goodman, who reprised his role as Dan Conner on the reboot, was spotted in New Orleans. Walking his dog in a black T-shirt and red pants, the actor looked pissed, most likely due to the news. At one point, the actor was snapped with his hand over his face.

On Tuesday, May 29, Barr enraged people with tweets in which she compared adviser to former U.S. President Barack Obama Jarrett, who is African-American, to ape. "Muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj," she wrote. When many users called her out and told her that the tweets were racist, Barr responded, "Muslims r NOT a race."

She quickly apologized, but the damage was done and her "bad" joke cost Barr her show. The ABC show, which was previously renewed for an 11th season, will no longer go ahead. "Roseanne's Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have decided to cancel her show," ABC Entertainment chief Channing Dungey said. Disney CEO Bob Iger also added, "There was only one thing to do here, and that was the right thing."
