The DuSable Museum is an iconic institution and the 2nd EVER African American history museum.

AceShowbiz - Chance The Rapper has stepped down from the board of trustees for the DuSable Museum of African American History in his native Chicago, Illinois due to his busy schedule.

The 25-year-old hip hop star joined the board last year (17) alongside his father Ken Williams-Bennett, but he has now revealed he is no longer able to dedicate his time to the organisation.

"The DuSable Museum is an iconic institution and the 2nd EVER African American history museum," he wrote on twitter on Saturday, May 26. "It was an immense honor to serve on the board the past year and the ONLY reason Im leaving is i got too busy and couldnt make the meetings (sic)."

According to AllHipHop.com, Chance's father has also stepped down from the board.
