The former 'Bond' girl allegedly owes Cross Creek Farm $47,667 in boarding fees for her two horses, Hansel and Lily.

AceShowbiz - Denise Richards is at risk of losing her two beloved horses over a hefty unpaid stable bill.

The 47-year-old actress was sued by Cross Creek Farm for allegedly failing to pay the boarding fees for her two horses, Hansel and Lily, since October last year, according to The Blast.

The farm, located in Malibu, California, filed the lawsuit against Richards on 16 May, claiming the former "Bond" girl owed them $47,667 (£35,818) and is being sued for breach of contract.

Richards began boarding her horses at the Malibu stable in June, 2015, with each horse costing $1,150 (£864) per month to board.

According to legal documents obtained by The Blast, the mother-of-three owes $31,539 (£23,699) for Hansel and $16,127 (£12,118) for Lily, Cross Creek Farm alleged in the suit.

The farm claims they have a right to sell off the horses in order to regain the amount they allege they are owed, and according to the contract Richards signed, it appears the stable has a provision to place a lien on the owner and sell the animals if they don't get paid.

Sources close to the "Starship Troopers" actress told The Blast that Cross Creek's owners have been "completely unreasonable," and that the actress has been trying to make payments but claimed the farm is refusing to accept payments or turn over the horses.

Her ex-husband Charlie Sheen, who is father to their two girls - 12-year-old Lola and 14-year-old Sam - has even become involved in a bid to save the horses, but the farm is still refusing to budge.

A source told the gossip website that Richards claimed the stable is in violation of their contractual agreement by allegedly allowing other riders to mount Lola and Hansel.

A rep for Richards has yet to comment on the report.
