Will Smith, Nicky Jam and Era Istrefi 'Live It Up' on World Cup Anthem

They are scheduled to perform the Diplo-produced anthem before the final of the soccer tournament on July 15 at Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.

AceShowbiz - Ahead of the 2018 World Cup, which will kick off in Russia on June 14, Nicky Jam has released the official song for the much-anticipated soccer tournament. Featuring Will Smith and Era Istrefi, "Live It Up" was released on Friday, May 25.

Produced by Diplo, the reggaeton track find Nicky singing in Spanish while Smith raps and Istrefi provides a lush, melodic verse. "For the love, I'm a rebel I'm coming from/ Every nation under the sun," Smith spits. "Elevating their favorite song when we hit and run/ You own it, you got it."

In a statement which was issued along with the release of the song, Jam called recording the song "a lifetime achievement. Not many artists have the privilege of being able to say they've been part of this. I'm so proud and happy, I can say to my grandkids 'I've made it.' "

Meanwhile, the "Suicide Squad" actor said, "It's an honor to be asked to perform at the 2018 FIFA World Cup. This global event brings people from all over the world together to cheer, laugh and experience magic. Collaborating with Nicky, Diplo and Era on this track represents harmony, eclectic flavors and genres coming together. At the end of the day, we just want to see the world dance!"

The trio are set to perform the anthem before the final on July 15 at Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.

Besides collaborating with Jam and Istrefi, Smith has been working on his own new music. He recenly previewed his new song by posting on YouTube a video titled "Messing around in the studio..." The clip found the 49-year-old addressing his divorce rumors. "Twenty years of swag y'all just witnessed, stop the divorce rumors and mind your damn business," he rapped.
