AceShowbiz - Rapper/actor Common will serve as a special guide during Starbucks officials' racial sensitivity training on Tuesday, May 29.
Bosses at the global coffee chain hit headlines last month when two African-American men were handcuffed and arrested for apparently doing nothing wrong at a Starbucks cafe in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Video footage of the incident, which quickly went viral and caused a public outcry, showed the pair being escorted out of the store after a staff member called police officials and had them charged them for trespassing.
Starbucks chiefs apologised for the way the two customers were treated and announced managers would undergo training on how to spot "unconscious bias" after calling the arrest reprehensible.
The training session is set to take place on Tuesday, when all locations will be closed for business, and it has now been revealed Glory hitmaker Common will be featured in a video shown to employees, according to hiphopDX.com.
"So to get things going (CEO) Kevin (Johnson) will welcome teams," a narrator says in the video. "And Common, one of our guides, will help folks start exploring their own identities".
"Helping people see each other fully, completely, respectfully," Common adds.
