'I hold hands, I hold legs, I did it all,' the 'Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle' actor recalls the moment his girlfriend gave birth to daughter Tiana Gia Johnson in April.

AceShowbiz - Dwayne Johnson was hands-on when his third daughter Tiana was being delivered in April.

The "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle" actor announced the arrival of his third daughter Tiana Gia Johnson, the second with his longtime girlfriend Lauren Hashian, on social media at the end of April.

During an appearance on U.K. show "Lorraine" on Friday, May 25, the former wrestler revealed he was fully involved in the labour, and even watched his daughter being born.

"It was an incredible experience. I've learned that you've always got to be supportive, you've got to be right there supporting mumma, supporting her with words, I hold hands, I hold legs, I did it all," he recalled. "The doctor had said, 'Would you like to watch? Would you like to come down here?' I said, 'No I'm going to stay up here by the head, I'm going to stay by mumma' and then I thought, you know what it's my daughter and my third one, I said, 'Honey I'll be right back...'. Watching and being part of that process was amazing."

Dwayne has started doing press for his new movie "Skyscraper", but admitted he's finding it hard to get a good night's rest with the newborn.

However, the action star couldn't be happier being a dad of three.

"Three girls, very blessed, I can't make boys, I don't know why, although I try," he added. "I'll continue to practise though, that's the thing, practise makes a boy one day...".

Dwayne is also father to Jasmine, two, with Lauren, and Simone, 16, from his previous marriage to Dany Garcia.

During the interview, the 46-year-old shared how filming "Skyscraper", about residents of a tower block who come under attack from terrorists, really tested his fears because he isn't a fan of heights.

Luckily, for insurance reasons, he wasn't allowed to hang off the side of an actual skyscraper, like Tom Cruise did in "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol".

Skin to skin. Our mana. Blessed and proud to bring another strong girl into this world. Tiana Gia Johnson came into this world like a force of nature and Mama @laurenhashianofficial labored and delivered like a true rockstar. I was raised and surrounded by strong, loving women all my life, but after participating in baby Tia’s delivery, it’s hard to express the new level of love, respect and admiration I have for @laurenhashianofficial and all mamas and women out there. Word to the wise gentlemen, it’s critical to be by your lady’s head when she’s delivering, being as supportive as you can.. holding hands, holding legs, whatever you can do. But, if you really want to understand the single most powerful and primal moment life will ever offer - watch your child being born. Its a life changer and the respect and admiration you have for a woman, will forever be boundless. And to my third and youngest daughter, Tiana Gia - like I did when your two older sisters Simone Alexandra and Jasmine Lia were born, you have my word, I’ll love, protect, guide and make ya laugh for the rest of my life. Your crazy dad has many responsibilities and wears many hats in this big ol’ world, but being your dad will always be the one I’m most proud to wear. Oh and one more thing.. you’re gonna love rollin’ in daddy’s pick up truck. #TianaGiaJohnson🌺 #3rdDaughter #BlessesAndGratefulMan #ImInTROUBLE

"I wanted to. Tom Cruise, he gets to have all the fun," he joked. "But we were high up, we built a lot of stuff to scale... there were times it got a little hairy a couple 100 feet up in the air."
