AceShowbiz - Donald Glover is truly a multi-talented man. Not only he can produce great shows and act, but he can also produce good music. The "Solo: A Star Wars Story" star caused internet frenzy when he released new single "This Is America" along with its music video while hosting "Saturday Night Live" on May 5.

As soon as the song made its way out online, it became a hot topic among internet users, with many trying to depict the meaning behind the Hiro Murai-directed music video. The visuals has become a phenomenon with nearly 50 million views in its first four days. As of now, the clip has garnered over 150 million views.

Not only from fans and music critics, but the song also received praises from his fellow musicians such as Adele and Bruno Mars. The "Someone Like You" singer gushed over Donald in an Instagram post, asking, "how the hell do you have time to offer us so much greatness on so many platforms. I adore you." Meanwhile, Bruno tweeted, "From his show 'Atlanta' to his music and new video. All around incredible."

Due to its massive popularity, it came as no surprise when the song debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart, beating Drake's chart-topping single "Nice for What". It also arrived atop the Streaming Songs and Digital Song Sales charts. The song marked his first time topping the chart as well as his first top ten single. He is also the first Emmy Award-winning actor to reach No. 1 on the chart since Justin Timberlake ruled the chart with his 2016 single "Can't Stop the Feeling!"

"This Is America" won't be included in his upcoming album, which will be his last album under the name Childish Gambino. He is currently gearing up for a short tour which will kick off on September 6 and conclude on October 12. He will be joined by Rae Sremmurd and Vince Staples.
