The actor will join forces with writers Rob Greenberg and Bob Fisher in developing a Hollywood revamp of hit 2006 French film 'La doublure'.

AceShowbiz - Mexican movie star Eugenio Derbez is re-teaming with "Overboard" writers Rob Greenberg and Bob Fisher for another remake. The Latino star will lead the cast of "The Valet", a Hollywood revamp of hit 2006 French film "La doublure" that is about a parking valet who establishes a fake relationship with a fashion model to cover up her romance with a married man.

The original grossed $30 million at the box office and has already been remade in other languages.

"'The Valet' is about a hard working Latin person who is invisible to the world but through hilarious circumstance comes to be seen as the worthy human being he is," Derbez and producer Ben Odell say in a statement. "The story couldn't be timelier and we are so happy to be working with Rob and Bob again to tell this story in the funniest, most heartfelt way possible."

Derbez, who will also produce the project, recently starred alongside Anna Faris in the remake of Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell's classic comedy "Overboard", which was directed by Greenberg. The film marked the actor's biggest opening to date with a $14.7 million haul. It is also Pantelion Film's biggest weekend opener and the biggest opening for a comedy in any language in Mexico, according to Deadline.
