A new report also states that previous directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller will be credited as executive producers with Howard getting full directing credit.

AceShowbiz - Fans of "Solo: A Star Wars Story" definitely remember that flick faced production issue when directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller were fired and later replaced by Ron Howard less than a year ago. Now that the movie's premiere date is fast approaching, people finally get the know how much of the flick did Howard shoot compared to the previous directors.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Howard's reshoots make up almost 70% of the finished movie. It is quite amazing, considering that he didn't have much time in addition to a very tight deadline.

Howard was tapped to serve behind the lens after Lord and Miller, who was hired to helm the standalone "Star Wars" movie in 2015, were fired over slow, improvisational, comedic directing style. Rumor had it, Lord and Miller would spend an entire day to work on some scenes during the production which started in late January 2017. Meanwhile, Howard only needed an hour to reshoot the same scenes.

"Ron wanted to go back to the spirit of the original trilogy, while Phil and Chris were looking forward to something new, more like 'Guardians of the Galaxy'," a source told the site. The report added that Lord and Miller were recently shown an early cut of Howard's version of the film and they didn't fight for director credit. They will be credited as executive producers with Howard getting full directing credit.

The new standalone movie's official logline reads, "Board the Millennium Falcon and journey to a galaxy far, far away in 'Solo: A Star Wars Story', an adventure with the most beloved scoundrel in the galaxy. Through a series of daring escapades deep within a dark and dangerous criminal underworld, Han Solo meets his mighty future copilot Chewbacca and encounters the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian, in a journey that will set the course of one of the Star Wars saga's most unlikely heroes."

The movie stars Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian, Emilia Clarke as Qi'ra, Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca, Woody Harrelson as Tobias Beckett and Thandie Newton as Val. The cast also includes Paul Bettany and Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

"Solo: A Star Wars Story" will hit U.S. theaters on May 25.
