They were initially worked on the series back in 2011, but the series never came to a fruitition due to Sorkin's busy schedule.

AceShowbiz - John Krasinski and Aaron Sorkin have reunited to start working on a mini-series about the celebrity-friendly Chateau Marmont hotel in Los Angeles. The pair came together in 2011 to develop a drama about the fabled Hollywood haunt for HBO, but the project never came to fruition, in part because of Sorkin's busy schedule.

However, now it's back on track, according to Deadline.

"That is one of the projects that I'm very attached to, and it's coming back around," Krasinski says. "Aaron Sorkin and I were going to do it at HBO. We were taking our time with it, and then Aaron got busy with everything Aaron's been busy with, and it just went slowly away."

The "A Quiet Place" director explains the upcoming book "The Castle on Sunset" renewed Krasinski and Sorkin's interest in the project. "Recently, the incredible author of Paul Newman's biography, Shawn Levy, is writing a biography on the Chateau Marmont called 'The Castle on Sunset'," Krasinski says. "So we just bought the rights to that book and we're going to give it another shot."
