AceShowbiz - NBC is lining up an ABBA special in December to mark the band's mini-reunion. The Swedish pop supergroup recently regrouped to record new music after a 35-year hiatus, and now there are plans for a TV tribute featuring a host of A-list fans.
The special, featuring ABBA's classic hits like "Dancing Queen", "Mamma Mia", and "The Winner Takes It All", will be beamed around the world. NBC Entertainment president of alternative programming Paul Telegdy says, "This network is also thrilled to be the home of brand new ABBA music for the first time in decades. It's a gift."
In other big ABBA news, the sequel to 2008's "Mamma Mia!", the movie musical featuring the group's hits, hits cinemas this summer.
