The Pam depicter reveals that during the scene, she improvised a farewell, reflecting how much Steve Carell and his character mattered to both her and her character.

AceShowbiz - Pam (Jenna Fischer) and Michael's (Steve Carell) tear-jerking airport goodbye scene on "The Office" successfully made fans bawl their eyes out. And now, seven years after, Fischer is here detailing her character's final words to Steve's character in his last scene, making fans go emotional all over again.

The aforementioned scene in season 7 of the series saw self-proclaimed world's best boss Michael saying goodbye to everyone in the office except Pam. Pam, who mistook Michael's flight to be the next day, eventually managed to catch up to him at the airport. With her shoes in her hands, Pam went to hug Michael as they exchanged some words. But it was unknown until recently what Pam actually said to Michael because neither of them were wearing their mics.

But now, fans can stop wondering. During a recent Instagram live video, Jenna revealed that she improvised a farewell, reflecting how much he and his character mattered to both her and her character.

"That was me talking to Steve," she said. "I told him all the ways I was going to miss him when we left our show. Those were real tears and a real goodbye. That was a really emotional scene."

During the live broadcast, she was also asked about her favorite episode. "I just watched 'Branch Wars' from season 4 and I was kinda loving it," she shared. "But my ultimate favorite is 'Dinner Party'." The actress also gave a shoutout to a season 1 episode titled "Health Care".

"The Office" ran for 9 seasons on NBC from 2005 to 2013. Also starring on the comedy were Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski, B.J. Novak, Ed Helms, Melora Hardin and David Denman.

It was previously rumored that "The Office" reboot was in the works on the network with original stars potentially returning. John, however, revealed on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" that no one approached him regarding the reboot of the hit comedy. "Guess who didn't get a call? Me," he joked. "What does that say? NBC's like, 'You know who we didn't like? [John's character] Jim.' "
