Alexandra Canosa initially filed a $10 million lawsuit in last December, but that has now been amended to detail her allegations against the fallen filmmaker.

AceShowbiz - A Netflix producer has refiled a lawsuit against disgraced movie boss Harvey Weinstein to detail her allegations of rape and abuse over a five-year period. Alexandra Canosa, an associate producer on the series "Marco Polo", has filed court documents in New York, claiming Weinstein sexually assaulted and verbally abused her.

The fallen filmmaker has denied the claims, calling them "mystifying" and "deeply upsetting".

Canosa initially filed a $10 million lawsuit in December (17), but that has now been amended to detail her allegations against Weinstein.

She maintains he "constantly threatened" her and "made it clear that if she did not succumb to his demands for sexual contact or if she exposed his unwanted conduct there would be retaliation, including humiliation, the loss of her job and loss of any ability to work in the entertainment business," according to the documents, obtained by the BBC.

She also alleges the film producer sexually assaulted and raped her multiple times in hotel rooms between 2010 and 2015.

Weinstein has issued a statement via his attorney, Phyllis Kupferstein, claiming any relations between himself and his accuser were "consensual".

"Ali Canosa was a friend who had worked for The Weinstein Company for 10 years, travelled the world for the company and held several influential roles; overseeing many projects throughout the years," the statement reads.

"From someone who has been thought of as a good friend, involved only in a consensual relationship, these claims are not only mystifying to Mr. Weinstein, but deeply upsetting, and they are not supported by the facts."

Canosa has also made claims against Weinstein's brother, Bob, The Weinstein Company and board members of TWC, claiming they "knew or should have known about Harvey Weinstein's conduct, and did not act to correct or curtail such activity".

Bob Weinstein previously told The Hollywood Reporter, "The members of the board, including myself, did not know the extent of my brother's actions."

Canosa refiled her suit on Monday, April 30, the same day actress Ashley Judd brought legal action against the movie mogul, claiming she was "blacklisted" by Weinstein after she turned down his sexual advances.

She filed a lawsuit against him for defamation, sexual harassment and violation of the California Unfair Competition Law.

Weinstein has denied trying to sabotage the "Frida" star's career.
