Witt also produced movies like "Dead Poets Society", "Three Kings" and "Insomnia".

He formed Witt/Thomas Productions with Tony Thomas in the mid-1970s. The company became Witt/Thomas/Harris Productions when Paul's future wife, TV writer Susan Harris, joined the board.

The couple wed in 1983 and shared five kids.
