A new sneak peek also features voiceover from classic Captain Pike and Spock, delivering some lines of dialogue from the original 'Star Trek' TV series.

AceShowbiz - Filming of "Star Trek: Discovery" season 2 has officially begun. To announce the good news, the CBS All Access series shares a sneak peek at the upcoming season. The new footage also teases a new uniform that was never seen before in the first season.

The aforementioned video offers the first look at what fans have been wondering ever since the classic Enterprise was seen sailing onto the screen at the end of season 1; the crew's uniform. It answers the burning question as it features the Enterprise crew donning what fans have seen in J.J. Abrams' film in the alternate "Kelvin Timeline."

In addition, the new footage features voiceover from classic Captain Pike (to be played by Anson Mount on "Discovery") and Spock. Pike can be heard saying a few lines of dialogue from the original "Star Trek" TV series. "I'm responsible for 203 lives. I'm tired of deciding which mission is too risky, and which isn't, and who lives, and who dies," Pike says.

Fans also get to hear a few lines from Spock. "Insufficient facts always invite danger, Captain," he says. It also features another Spock line as he can be heard saying, "You speak about the objective hardness of the Vulcan heart, yet how little room there seems to be in yours." Fans of the franchise can tell that the two lines are from the episode "Space Seed" and "The Immunity Syndrome", respectively.

Pike's arrival on "Discovery" in the upcoming sophomore season of the "Star Trek" series isn't a surprise for fans. Season 1 finale did tease Discovery and Enterprise cross-path when the USS Discovery crew received a distress call from the iconic USS Enterprise.

Season 2 of "Star Trek: Discovery" hasn't had a premiere date yet.
