In addition to announcing 'Star Trek' movies, the studio reveals that a sequel of 'Cloverfield' series is underway and will come to theaters soon.

AceShowbiz - Paramount Picture was among a slew of movie production companies attending CinemaCon on Wednesday, April 25. Besides informing that "A Quiet Place" sequel is currently in development, Paramount CEO Jim Gianopulos further hyped audiences by announcing that the studio is currently developing two "Star Trek" movies.

In a recent interview with ET Canada, Spock depicter Zachary Quinto shared that the studio is developing at least more than one "Star Trek" movie. "First of all, I think there's a couple of scripts. Because there was a script being written before Quentin Tarantino came up with his idea for a potential film. And so I think they are kind of developing more than one. So I don't know what is going to happen," said Zachary.

The actor continued, "All of us are really excited about the idea of working with Quentin on a 'Trek' film, but I know Simon Pegg and Doug Jung, who wrote the last film, are writing a script and there are another set of writers writing a script. So I don't know. I don't know what's going to happen."

The studio added the attendees' excitement when announcing an October 26 release for "Overlord". After it was rumored that the movie is the fourth installment in the "Cloverfield" series, director J.J. Abrams clarified that the rumor was not true.

Instead of being a horror movie, "Overlord" is about a war. The footage presented at the event sees a group of American paratroopers who are dropped behind enemy lines to carry out a mission. However, as they approach their target, they begin to realize that there is more going on in the village than a simple military operation.

The director commented on the movie, "It's bat s**t crazy."

Although "Overlord" is not the next installment of "Cloverfield" series, the studio revealed that it's currently developing next movie of the series. Unlike "The Cloverfield Paradox" that went to Netflix, the sequel will be released "very soon" on big screen.
