The 'Mr. Robot' actor, who is tapped to play Freddie Mercury in the upcoming biopic, is said to be 'so into' the Mary Austin depicter.

AceShowbiz - A new Hollywood couple is born! Rami Malek and Lucy Boynton are bringing their on-screen romance in upcoming "Bohemian Rhapsody" to real life as a new report suggests that the two stars have been dating for some time.

"They met while filming 'Bohemian Rhapsody' in London," an insider tells Us Weekly. According to the insider, 36-year-old Emmy-winning actor "is so into" the 24-year-old actress. "He goes and visits her in London all the time," the source adds.

In the upcoming biopic, Rami takes the role of Freddie Mercury, the lead vocalist of the legendary rock band Queen. Meanwhile, the "Murder on the Orient Express" actress is set to portray Mary Austin, Mercury's lifelong companion.

Austin was Mercury's muse and even inspired the musician to write 1975's hit Queen song "Love of My Life". Talking about his role as Mercury, who died in 1991 due to a complication from AIDS, Malek previously said, "When you're able to open your eyes and see a different person staring back at you in the mirror, it's a very affirming moment. He added that he hair and makeup "only adds to the level of confidence that one would need to play Freddie Mercury."

Initially directed by Bryan Singer before he was fired and replaced by Dexter Fletcher, the movie is set to hit U.S. theaters on November 2.

Back to Malek's love life, it's not the first time for the "Night at the Museum" actor to date his co-star. Prior to dating Boynton, Malek dated his "Mr. Robot" co-star Portia Doubleday. They ended their relationship sometime in 2017, though it's unclear what led them to the decision. According to a source, the former couple "broke up a while ago and Rami was single before Lucy for a bit."

After she and Malek split, Doubleday removed photos of them kissing from her social media account.
