Late Steve Irwin to Be Awarded With a Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

The late 'Crocodile Hunter' star's widow and children will unveil his star during a ceremony that will take place on April 26.

AceShowbiz - Late "Crocodile Hunter" star Steve Irwin is to be posthumously honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The conservationist, who was killed by a stingray while diving off the coast of his native Australia in 2006, will be feted at a ceremony on April 26, during which his widow and kids will unveil the 2,635th star.

Various animals from Australia will also be part of the event as part of a promotion for Irwin's Australia Zoo and Wildlife Warriors charity.

"People from around the world will always remember the animal whisperer Steve Irwin," Ana Martinez, the producer of the Walk of Fame ceremonies says. "He was a joy to be around and entertained all with his love and knowledge of the animal kingdom. The Hollywood Walk of Fame is thrilled to pay tribute to this exceptional man."
