The 'American Idol' alum also makes her first public appearance since the fall last November at the 2018 ACM Awards.

AceShowbiz - Carrie Underwood has nothing to hide anymore. After lying low for months following her nasty fall in November, the country pop music singer made her first public appearance at the 53rd Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday, April 15.

The "Jesus, Take the Wheel" hitmaker, who was booked to perform at the event, skipped the red carpet though. She was later seen hitting the stage during the live event to belt out her new song "Cry Pretty", the first single off her upcoming new album.

Looking stunning in a sparkling silver-and-black dress, she also sported sparkles around her eyes in the shape of tears, similar to the artwork of the single. Her powerful performance drew positive reactions from fans, including actress Michelle Rodriguez who raved in her tweet, "She's flawless! Carrie Underwood rocking the #ACMawards!"

Some viewers were also relieved that there were no traces of injury visible on her face despite her claim that she received 40 to 50 stitches in her face due to the fall. "Watched tonight and didnt see any signs of a facial accident," one commented on her latest Instagram post.

Carrie also shared a first close-up picture of her face ahead of her performance at ACM Awards. She took to Instagram on Saturday to show her full face in the image taken during rehearsal for the Sunday gig. "Had a great rehearsal for the @acmawards ! Can’t wait until tomorrow night! #CryPretty #ACMAwards," she captioned it.

Many of her followers sent her supportive messages like, "......what accident? U look beautiful as always," "You are fine, don't make it look like your deformed, you're not" and "You look beautiful as usual."

Some people, however, accused the "American Idol" alum of making a fuss out of tiny scars. "You act like you're deformed? ! Shout up," one wrote. Another said, "oh yeah she's the one being ridiculous and seeking attention alright."
